About Us
1992 The Leaders Prayer Fortress was started. Pastors Amos and
Grace Komolafe were praying for every leader they knew and
encouraging others to do the same. The spiritual atmosphere was
hard. There was much labour by church leaders but little harvest
amongst the churches here. They felt called to mobilise prayer for
leaders and changed the name to The Prayer Trust’
1998 they came out from pastoring the church and into full time
mobilising prayer for London. The Greater London Prayer Wall'was
started.
1999 – The first Conference. Many came and joined the mailing list.
We had about 500 at that time. That year London was divided
into a North wall and a South Wall. Intercessors each prayed for
one hour a week and were joined in a phone link. The vision
was for intercessors praying 24 hours,7 days a week.
2002 The Walls split into London boroughs.
Now a co-ordinator was needed for each borough. The vision
was for each borough to have its own intercessors praying for
the researched needs of their borough. Now we have co-ordinators
for most boroughs and intercessors are still joining the Wall.
We have intercessors from as far apart as Birmingham
and Hastings,Berkshire and Kent.These out of London intercessors
pray for the government,and the boroughs of Westminster and
City and the business,financial dealingsthere. Pastor Grace is
invited out to other counties to encourage prayer walls and their
intercessors in those places.
2003 Our vision this year is to cover every local church and
leader in every borough in prayer, that there may be a breakthrough
in the Body of Christ.
2002 - New Wall Structure The reasons for this change
|
* |
many intercessors who share the burden of prayer for their
community were not able to commit to the weekly prayer chain |
|
* |
The situation of many who were once committed to the prayer
chain had changed. |
|
* |
For London to be well covered with our prayers, we needed
to target the need of individual boroughs. |
|
* |
The borough by borough prayer Wall will encourage more
interest and participation of other Christians who have the
same burden to pray for their community. |
|
* |
As strongholds come down in their community as result of
their corporate prayers,intercessors will see and enjoy
intimately together the faithfulness of God. |
|
* |
Because they live in the same borough, caring the same
burden in prayer, it will be easy to build personal relationship
and support each other. |
|
* |
Those who are experienced in the work of intercession will
be able to help the young and inexperienced as they pray
with and for one another in their borough. |
The How of this new structure
Intercessors were listed by their borough. An initial meeting
would be called. During this meeting someone would be chosen
to coordinate the prayer wall in the borough.
The intercessors agreed on what structure they want to use for
praying for their borough.
Examples:-

i.e. someone covers each day Monday to Friday. |
|
* |

|
* |

once every month. |
